Important Facts
FLIGHTS TO SAMOA (AMERICAN) ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
- COVID-19 REGULATIONS (Subject to change). Travelers must have a medical certificate with a negative Covid-19 test result issued at most 72 hours before arrival. They are also subject to quarantine for 14 days.
- TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION: 1) Entry Permit – for all foreign travelers. 2) OK Boards – for nationals from countries that fall under the American Samoa Entry Permit Waiver Program (EPWP).
- Passport must have six (6) months validity beyond the completion of a trip and must have at least one (1) blank visa page.
- NO VISA REQUIRED for nationals of the USA.
- ENTRY PERMIT WAIVER PROGRAM (EPWP) for nationals of Australia, Canada, Chile, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, and some other countries traveling as tourists for a maximum stay of 30 days. Must apply and receive authorization at least 48 hours prior to the travel date.
- 30 DAY PERMIT. Any other nationals are required to obtain a 30 Day Permit to visit American Samoa. The Permit must be requested 30 days prior to the date of travel and requested by the local sponsor. The local sponsor must appear in person at the Immigration office to submit the required documents. 30 Day Permit cannot be extended. There are additional court fees (check at (684) 633-1101) and hospital clearance fees (check at (683) 633-1222).
