FULL LEGALIZATION PROCESS
The authentication process requires the following procedure:
- Notarized document(s).
- County Office Certification.
- Maryland State Certification.
- US Department of State Certification – Fill out the DS-4194 form.
- Country Embassy Authentication.
Fee:
- County fee: $1 per seal – cash only.
- Maryland State fee: $2 per seal – credit card.
- US State Department fee: $20 per document – money order (mail) & prepaid return envelope, money order/cash (in-person).
- Embassy fee: vary according to the embassy and type of document. Please contact the Visa/Passport Office for more information.
Surcharge
- $65 – For GC/ADRA/ARM employees.
- $85 – For external personnel.
APOSTILLE
Apostille process requires the following procedure:
- Notarized document(s).
- County Office Certification.
- Maryland State Certification.
Fee:
- County fee: $1 per seal – cash only.
- Maryland state fee: $2 per seal – credit card.
