Visa Process

Travel Alert!

The GC Visa and Passport office is open for business. However, we advise all GC/external traveling staff to follow the travel recommendations issued by the US State Department.

All travelers must check and follow the Covid-19 regulations before travel. Please refer to the country page on this website. Most countries require proof of vaccination for the issuance of visas. If not vaccinated, you may be required to follow additional Covid-19 protocols.

Please note, not all embassies in Washington DC are processing visas or open for in-person service. However, majority of the embassies are accepting applications by mail and/or issuing eVisas.
